Hi, I’m Catherine Fonseca,

I’m Catherine Fonseca and I am the founder of Releaf Consulting. Releaf Consulting was born out of the necessity to educate and act as a resource to those interested in learning how to support their endocannabinoid system with or without cannabis. At Releaf we strive to provide evidence-based practice guidance, support navigating a complex health system, and advocacy to de-stigmatize the cannabis plant.
I have been a Registered Nurse for more than seven years. My nursing background has been primarily in the critical care setting with my specialty areas being trauma and cardiac care. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I received my Master’s in Science with a specialty in Nursing Education. I am an educator at a university sharing my passion of nursing and education with undergraduate nursing students. In 2022, I became a certified medicinal cannabis consultant and began my entrepreneurship journey.
Cannabis was introduced to me when I was battling a multitude of chronic health issues. I was diagnosed with PCOS, endometriosis, depression, and two months later sustained a life altering spinal injury causing me constant pain and a dramatic change in my quality of life. All of the doctors prescribed opiates and other pharmaceuticals. The side effects were awful, I was unable to function throughout the day, the pain was taking over my life, and my depression and anxiety worsened. Cannabis helped me through my pain journey and continues to help me today. After working the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was diagnosed with PTSD. Over the past 6 years, I have used cannabis and holistic measures to treat my chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

My Approach
After your free initial consultation, new clients will have a 1:1 session with me for 60-90 minutes. All appointments are done virtually or by telephone. In-person consultations are on a case by case basis. If you are interested in an in-person consultation in the Tristate area, please contact me.
Step 1: Book your appointment.
Once you book your appointment, you will receive an email with the necessary paper-work that must be completed and emailed back to me no later than 3 business days prior to your scheduled session. The review of your paperwork prior to our session is so that I can prepare content and questions for our session.
Step 2: Complete your paperwork.
Your 60-90 minute session is patient-centered and focused on finding your unique healing plan. We will go over the information you have provided, discuss your health concerns and goals, and together we will create a plan that best suits you.
Step 3: Meet with me.
During this step, you will be implementing your personalized plan. You can do this step on your own or you can sign up for ongoing coaching sessions. Bundle packages are available for established clients.

Step 4: Put your plan into action!
One month after our initial session, I will contact you via your preferred contact method to have a 15-minute check-in. If you have signed up for bundle packages, we will check-in more frequently.
